First Aussie Barbie!!!

Well seen as we were having a good weekend with the weather we decided to brave it and have our first Aussie Barbie!!! It was good fun and after the previous days outings to the zoo it was great to kick back and relax with the lovely smells of the barbie. We fired it up again the next night to finish off the food but sadly is peed it down and was one of the worst storms here for a long time!!! TYPICAL!!!

Picnic by the river and its the last week of winter!!!!!

So we decided to take a trip to Adelaide Zoo this weekend and take a picnic by the river in North Adelaide. It was a lovely day and fun had by all of us, the zoo was good but have to say not a patch on Singapore as many of the animals were caged and at times I did get upset. The pictures are taken by the river and this was the last week of winter and was a gloriously sunny day so we are so looking forward to the imminent arrival of spring and the heat of the summer months.

First Aussie Birthday

So It was Kennadies 9th Birthday today her first Aussie birthday!!! We had a big party for her on Saturday and she invited some friends from schoold and we invited some other friends we have made ince we arrived. The weather had been lousy all week with terrible rain and very cold but the day arrived with glorious sunshine and was quite warm too. We had the usual bouncy castle which kept the kids hapy and we also had a Piniada which we filled with toys and sweets and was hung from a tree and the kids had to take it in turns blindfolded to bash the hell out of it. Well they had heaps of fun doing that!!!

On her actual birthday we went to the Acquatic centre where the kids spent a few hours on the water slides and generally having fun. What a difference a day makes though s it was cold and wet and miserable!!! We were originally going on a dolphin cruise but we decided that it would be too cold and as it was so windy the sea would be very choppy!!!

So a good weekend had by all and lots of fun and laughter!!!
